Nigel Saines is the founder and Managing Principal of Saines Legal, an Employment Law and Workplace Relations firm.
Nigel completed a Bachelor of Laws at the Queensland University of Technology and completed his Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice also through the Queensland University of Technology. Nigel is an admitted solicitor within the Supreme Court of Australia and the High Court of Australia.
After completing his Bachelor of Law, Nigel developed his expertise as an Employment Lawyer whilst working in private practice. It was whilst working in private practice that he found his passion to start his own Employment Law firm in Brisbane.
Nigel opened Saines Legal in 2016 with the focus and goal of building an Employment Law firm solely focused on serving the employment needs of clients with highly skilled employment lawyers. Nigel’s expertise has been recognised consistently by the Doyle’s Guide in 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024 as Leading Queensland Employment Lawyer. Saines Legal was also recognised during this same period by the Doyle’s Guide as a Leading Queensland Employment Law Firm.
Nigel and his team aim to provide solutions for their clients across the full spectrum of workplace issues including areas around Transactional Law, Employee Management, Employment Law Litigation and Workplace Health and Safety.

Emma Marshall completed her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor Psychological Science in 2013 with Class IIA Honours at Griffith University. In the year 2014, Emma completed her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice with QUT and currently holds a Practicing Certificate through Queensland Law Society being admitted in the both the Supreme Court of Australia and the High Court of Australia.
During Emma’s employment at Saines Legal she has gained a vast knowledge around Employee Management, Transactional Law and Employment Law Litigation. Emma has managed both individuals and corporate clients and has developed a strong working relationship with some corporate clients using Saines Legal Retainer Package. Emma is professional, polite and always takes the time to listen to her clients and help to come to an agreeable outcome.
Emma holds membership with Queensland Law Society, Women Lawyers Association Queensland and Queensland Young Lawyers.

Paul Conrad earned a Bachelor of Economics/Law, with Honours, from the University of Queensland with further study at the College of Law being award a Diploma of Legal Practice. Paul is Admitted to practice in both the High Court of Australia and the Queensland Supreme Court.
Before joining Saines Legal, Paul gained significant experience as an Associate in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, working for the Honourable Justice Catherine Carew and the Honourable Justice Paul Howard. His extensive background and commitment to achieving the best outcomes for his clients makes Paul an invaluable member of our employment law team.
Julia Mirabello holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the Sunshine Coast. She was awarded a Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law. Julia is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.
Before joining Saines Legal, she gained valuable experience at Batherby Legal, where she honed her skills and built a solid legal foundation. Julia’s commitment to her clients and her ability to find solutions to complex legal matters makes her a valuable asset to our employment law team.
Tamara Seeto is an integral member of our team, currently serving as a law clerk while completing her final year of Law at the Queensland University of Technology.

Elita Young brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her role as Business Manager at Saines Legal. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing and a Graduate Certificate in Critical Care from the Queensland University of Technology. With 16 years of experience as an emergency clinical nurse, Elita made a seamless transition into practice management and a new career, leveraging her clinical expertise to enhance the operational efficiency of our firm.
